Bagging vs Mulching vs Side Discharge

There are three main mowing options.

 

Side discharge is great for longer or thicker grass because it lets the mower move through the lawn faster and more smoothly. It can leave some visible clippings if the grass is very tall, but for many lawns it is the most practical option.

 

Mulching is a good choice when the lawn is already being maintained regularly. It cuts the clippings into smaller pieces and returns nutrients back into the lawn, but it does not work as well if the grass is too tall.

 

Bagging gives the cleanest look, but it takes more time and is usually best for special situations like very messy lawns, heavy clippings, or when the customer specifically wants the grass collected.
